Product Description This is the long awaited Zippo Blue Hand Buffed Brushed Chrome lighter. The curve on the cap gives it a marvelous look. The unmatched quality and features of the new Zippo Blu lighters deserves admiration. The lighter boasts new patented flint wheel ignition technology that emits a powerful butane torch flame. It also features the same chimney pattern that you are used to seeing in the traditional zippo lighters. You can use any brand of premium quality triple refined butane to refil these lighters. This lighter comes with the zippo seal which shows that the lighter has not been used or opened. The lighter is backed by zippo's 30 year guarantee. Proudly Made in USA. Please note that the lighter ships without butane filled. The lighter comes beautifully packaged in a zippo cardboard gift box. We recommend filling it with only premium grade triple refined butane such as lotus, colibri or zippo brand of butane. We offer custom engraving on this lighter. Get it personalized today for you or a friend.

most reliable butane lighter yet, with clever design July 23, 2009 Sam (Ann Arbor, MI) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I purchased a colibri lighter a while back. It worked ok for the first day. After that it almost never lit. I was very disappointed and bought an original Zippo. I fell in love with it. However, eventually I got sick of tasting the Zippo lighting fluid when I smoked cigars, so I began searching for a higher quality butane lighter. I finally ran across the Zippo Blu. Saw it has a lifetime warranty and figured it was worth a try. The Zippo Blu works wonderfully. Lights anything very quickly with a very consistent flame. Also has a window on the side to view the amount of butane in its tank. On a side note to those who say the lighter wont light, make sure the screw used to replace the flint is fully tightened. If it isn't the butane will not release when you press down on the wheel, making it very difficult to light.
Pros: hot, consistent flame. Reliable lighting mechanism. Classic Zippo design. Life time warranty
Cons: No way to adjust the height of the flame. If the butane level in the window is below half, the butane will RARELY light. The butane runs out fairly quickly, but based on other reviews, this is common among butane lighters.
Great Lighter August 10, 2009 Grandpa G 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted a lighter that would work at 60 mph on a motorcycle. IT does the job very well.

Finally, a butane version of the tried and true Zippo. What every good Scout should have. When I was a kid, we had a Swiss Army Knife, Maglite, & Zippo (the fluid type). It was a different world back then. No microwaves, personal computers, internet, fuel injection, crack cocaine, or AIDS. Cars had Holley 4 barrel carbs & glass packs. The President's brother sold us Billy Beer. Mr. Furley got all the ladies. And Fonzie beat Mork from Ork with his thumb.
Just imagine how much easier it would be to start a campfire with one of these.
zippo quailty December 5, 2009 John L. Jones (Las Cruces, NM USA) i expected a zippo. that's what it is. what else is there to say? 5 stars. only difference, it doesn't provide as much light for fumbling around in the dark
Zippo Blu Vertical Chrome Lighter February 22, 2010 J. Sayson (Vancouver, BC CANADA) I would have given this a 5 star rating, but sometimes it takes 4 strikes of the flint to get the flame to light. The upside, you don't have the smell of lighter fluid as with the traditional zippo lighter. Looks great, has very very good construction, and pretty much works like a charm. Flame stays on for about 1 second longer after you release the trigger, so you can't really immediately close the lid when you're done. Very good wind-proof lighter!
