I've never found myself in a hurricane or tornado, and I hope I never do, but if I should and I want a cigarette I'll definitely use this lighter. It does get windy here on occasion and I think I'll keep this close at hand for those times. If your life depends on starting a fire, get Swedish Firesteel or white phosphorus. If you want to light a cigarette in a hurricane, get this item.
